Modacc has signed a strategic alliance between Catalan and Egyptian fashion companies to improve the competitiveness of the textile sector in Catalonia. The professional meeting, as explained by the Catalan fashion cluster, will promote the creation of strategic alliances between companies from both countries with the aim of improving the competitiveness of the textile and clothing sector.

Egypt is home to the largest cotton and textile clusters on the African continent, which is favoured by the organisation of the value chain and its geographical location that makes it an important exporter of the material to Europe, the Arab countries, the United States and also Africa.

The Catalan Fashion Cluster will take advantage of the project "Reform and Development of Trade in Egypt (TRADE)" to co-organise the "Made in Egypt" showroom on 8 and 9 May at the Hotel Casa Fuster in Barcelona. This meeting will be attended by more than thirty Egyptian textile and clothing producers who will exhibit their denim, knitwear, swimwear, sportswear, underwear, etc. to Catalan companies in the fashion sector with the aim of promoting the creation of strategic alliances between companies in both countries to improve the competitiveness of the textile and clothing sector.
