MODACC leads three projects and participates in two others with a total funding of almost 900,000 €

The projects have been financed by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, in the call for Aid to Innovative Business Groups, within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan

The Catalan Fashion Cluster, Modacc, together with twenty-three other key players, including 5 clusters, 15 companies and 3 knowledge centres, ends the year leading three projects and participating in two more with funding of €882,790. This joint effort reflects the strategic collaboration between different sectors to boost innovation in the fashion industry.

It is important to highlight that at national level 93 projects have been approved in Catalonia, with a total funding of 17.5 million euros, while at national level the line of aid has reached 53.8 million euros. The following projects have been approved:

  • ModaHub: project that focuses on the development of a digital platform in which SMEs in the fashion industry share ecommerce indicators and a system for mass processing and analysis of this data, in order to enhance the competitive intelligence of companies. The project is carried out in collaboration with Star Textil, Berneda, Simorra, TAO Workers, Branding 1929, Jelliby, ASECOM and MODACC.
  • Digital Label: This project consists of the development of a flexible and versatile textile product traceability system through the incorporation of digital tools such as RFID smart labels or QR codes. The traceability system will allow companies in the textile sector to follow a procedure that takes into account their needs, contributing to the optimisation of human resources and raw materials used in the production, distribution and marketing process, as well as improving inventory control. This development will make it possible to improve the circularity of the textile sector. Roberto Verino, Sepiia, FITEX, ASECOM and MODACC are the project participants.
  • Long Life Textile: This industrial research project aims to design, develop and prototype a model to extend the useful life of textile products thanks to the use of disruptive technologies from Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things. Long Life Textiles has been managed by Barcelona Centre de Disseny, Augusto Bellini, Inèdit, Nutcreatives, Nanimarquina and MODACC.
  • Biocel: This project consists of an industrial research of a system for the production, monitoring and application of bio-based textile filaments. The participants were the MAV Cluster, LCI, Dan*na, FITEX, Elisava and Modacc.
  • Suitsubest: research project focuses on the design, development and testing of the use of Reinforcement Learning in the fashion marketing environment. The project is run by Clúster Digital de Catalunya, Simorra, Ais, Fhios and MODACC.

The five projects have been funded by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, in the call for Aid to Innovative Business Clusters, within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
