Zschimmer & Schwarz España hosted the seventh edition of Safety Day on 15 February. The event organised by QUIMACOVA (Chemical Association of the Valencian Community) aims to raise awareness and share industrial safety practices among companies in the chemical sector.
The event was opened with an institutional welcome by Joaquin Garcia, the representative of QUIMACOVA. The event was attended and participated by more than 30 companies from the chemical sector. The event was also attended by Dr. Felix Grimm, current Chief Operating Officer of the Zschimmer & Schwarz Group.
During the morning, Carlos Vivas, Global Director Strategic Division Performance Chemicals of Zschimmer & Schwarz, and the industrial safety experts of Zschimmer & Schwarz Spain, Javier Parra, Process Engineering, and Glòria Ten, Regulatory Affairs Manager, shared how the safety culture has evolved at Zschimmer & Schwarz.
The first safety lecture was given by Parra, who shared examples of his experience and best practices learned during his more than 10 years at Zschimmer & Schwarz. Afterwards, the participants had the opportunity to tour the premises and observe how security measures are implemented in our facilities.
