The International Perfume Foundation is taking advantage of the Barcelona Perfumery Congress to present its most eagerly awaited awards: the New Luxury Awards.

The IPF held the fourth edition of these awards, which seek to promote the perfume and fragrance sector by rewarding excellence, innovation, sustainability and responsibility within the industry. This year's winners were selected by a carefully selected panel of experts. All entries selected as finalists had to comply with the organisation's own rules, the New Luxury Code and the IPF for Natural Perfumery standards.

On this occasion, the awards have been designed and developed by the French designer and architect Pascal Morabito. As stated by the IPF, they wanted each award to embody and unite passion, creativity and elegance, values that meet and characterise the perfume industry.

The winners chosen by the jury of Françoise Rapp, Shaneela Rowa, Al Qamar, Andrej Babicky, The Plum Girl and Ida Meister were as follows:

  • In the student category:
    • Shalom Hoang from China with "La Femme Mystique".
    • Filippo Zanini from Italy with "Principio" and "Dafne-Meli".
  • In the perfumer category:
    • Vedrana Perhoc from Croatia with "Le Pique Nique", who won in the student category in 2019.
  • In the brand category:
    • Le Fleur by Livy from Colorado with "Jadon".
    • Porcelain Perfumery from Denmark with "Myristique 2".

The International Perfume Foundation was founded in 1995 by Creezy Courtoy, who is also a member of the awards jury, and is a non-profit organisation that seeks to preserve and promote the heritage generated by the world of perfume.
