CPL Aromas opens a new manufacturing plant in Malaysia. On 7 September, the company founded in 1971 celebrated with an opening ceremony the inauguration of a more sustainable factory in Malaysia.
The new factory has an area of 20,000 square meters and is situated in a strategic location: Selangor Halal, Hub of Pulau Indah which refers to the fundamental values of sustainability that CPL Aromas shares and defends. It is also close to Port Klang which allows for the import of raw materials as well as the export of the final product to regional markets. The ingredients used and the final product are Halal compliant, which means it can be marketed in the Malaysian market and in ASEAN countries.
The CPL Aromas plant has state-of-the-art equipment, machinery and facilities of the latest generation and first class. CPL Aromas has ensured that the manufacturing centre in the Asian country maintains the highest standards of quality and excellence in its field: the production of fragrances.
It stands out for its modern design and for having a simplified and optimal production process that will allow high efficiency. The factory is designed to minimise environmental impact and reduce the carbon footprint, incorporating solar panels, insulated walls and roofs for cold storage, rainwater harvesting systems, wastewater treatment plants, energy-saving heat pumps, LED lighting, CIP cleaning processes, among others.
Although the inauguration took place just over a week ago, construction was completed in August 2022, followed by the installation of the machinery and other equipment. The trial production process began in early June 2023, with full-scale production expected to be completed by the end of the year.
The event took up the whole day on 7 September with an opening ceremony in 2023 and in the evening an appreciation dinner was held at a captivating location in the area: the Avante Hotel.
CPL Aromas is present in 18 countries and has more than 100 customers around the world. The fragrance company made its acquisition of Global Fragrances Labs official in July.
