CPL Aromas has acquired Global Fragrances Labs in Spain and its entire operating facility located in the Catalan town of El Prat de Llobregat. This new facility will be combined with the existing CPL Aromas Spain to create a new division with the primary objective of solidifying and consolidating CPL's position in the industry. In addition, the company itself has stated that it is looking to expand its capabilities in Spain to better serve its customers.
Nick Pickthall, COO of CPL Aromas, the family-owned company, has given his version of the deal and praised GFL's positioning in the Spanish market: "Global Fragrances Labs is a complementary business to ours in Spain, we share similar visions for the future of fragrances and our values coincide. GFL has a strong reputation for quality and customer service, and combined with CPL's strengths will offer our domestic customers in Spain a comprehensive experience."
Global Fragrances Labs was founded in 2010 by Nelly Di Mercurio López, who was in charge of bringing this project to life from the very beginning. During the 13 years, the company has been developing and manufacturing aromas for the perfumery, home care, personal care and air fresheners sectors with the vision of sensoriality and the ability to generate memories through smell, aromas and fragrances.
As specified by CPL Aromas in its press release, CPL Aromas will add to its team the 19 current GFL employees, as well as the current facilities, which will be managed under the CPL Aromas Spain division. The company founded in 1971 in the UK, CPL Aromas, has shown in the same document its commitment to both workers, suppliers and customers to make this transition as comfortable, easy and agile as possible for everyone.
Nelly Di Mercurio Lopez, from GFL, acknowledged that she was very happy after reaching the agreement with CPL Aromas: "We are very happy with this agreement, and we know that it will be an opportunity, not only for CPL to grow, but for our customers to grow with them".
