The II HR Beauty Forum organised by the Beauty Cluster and the Beauty Business School was held on Thursday 8 June at Aticco Bogatell. An essential event for professionals who head and lead human resources, people and talent management teams in the beauty industry. With almost 80 attendees, 'People in Beauty Forum' served as a source of inspiration, a source of new proposals focused on personal growth and the business environment. Digitalisation, mental health, talent and communication were the main themes of this second edition of HR in Beauty.

The day was led by Melissa Torres, Director of the Beauty Business School, who opened this second edition, and then presented the first lecture of the day. Lluc Guarro, Digital Business & Innovation Director at ROCA SALVATELLA, explained to the audience the keys to leading in a hostile (or digital) environment.  In it, he insisted on the characteristics that a leader must have. Traits such as empathy, knowing how to listen and trying to be a point of reference for your team were some of the aspects that Lluc Guarro highlighted during his speech. He also stressed that leadership is something that is overrated and that the key to being disruptive is "knowing how to get there first and do it in the right way". Lluc handed over to Manolo Castellano, Recruiter and headhunter at Talento Científico. Castellano emphasised the importance of attracting technical profiles in a digital environment and explained the difficulty in finding them. To remedy this situation, which many companies in the cosmetics sector face, he offered advice on recruitment. He also warned that a large percentage of scientific profiles are not found on LinkedIn, one of the main platforms used by organisations to recruit employees. However, he did offer some small tips on how to get the most out of the social network. Finally, Manolo Castellano advised the audience that, in order to attract this scientific-technical profile, you should think like one of them.

In relation to the attraction of talent, Marisa Ferré, Innovation Specialist of Beauty Cluster, unveiled one of the projects that are still in the incubator and that will see the light soon: 'Young Professionals In Beauty'. This initiative is aimed at raising the profile of young talent in the industry and creating a community among them that allows a fluidity between the new generations that are entering the sector and the companies. Eloi Armengol, Siomara López, Miriam Mora, Monika Buchholz, Laia Sallan and Natalia Möller, together with Marisa Ferré herself, took part in a round table that turned into a fluid dialogue between them and the audience who were interested in the concerns, interests and expectations of young people regarding their future in the industry.
