Head of preclinical in vitro studies at AINIA

Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Valencia. Advanced Studies Diploma and PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Valencia. Completion of her doctoral thesis at the Nutrient Signalling Unit of the Institute of Biomedicine of Valencia (CSIC). His thesis project focused on understanding the molecular basis of the process of gene induction by glucose.

He has more than 18 years of experience in the area of molecular nutrient signalling. He has been working at AINIA since 2005, and leads the line of work and research in preclinical studies with in vitro models.  The main line of research is the study and evaluation of the impact of bioactive compounds, food ingredients and food products on health through the application of cellular, biochemical and molecular techniques as well as the study of the interaction with the gastrointestinal system and colonic microbiota by means of in vitro dynamic digesters.
