Innovative fashion prototypes from CRE@CTIVE are presented in Igualada

In the frame of the project funded by the European Union, and in which it participates Modacc, the past week exposed the prototypes and innovative fashionable creations elaborated by the young designers selected.

The 16 youngsters that involve in this project have contrived pieces like an intelligent waistcoat heated, vegetal inks for knitwears, biotope from waste from the agriculture or the production of the cork, scarves elaborated manually by Palestinian women mixing technical ancient and modern, a platform to test virtually the clothes... Between other, a lot of that details Modacc.

By impossibilities, have not been able to be present the 16 designers during his exhibition, but some himself that have been able to displace until Spain, as for example the designers of Palestinian, Egypt, Italy, and Tunisia. During his stay in Catalonia have visited different factories and textile centres and on 24 November presented his projects in the Igualada Fashion Lab beside personalities like the mayor of the City council of Igualada, and the vice-president of Modacc, Bernat Biosca.

The steps to be followed of the project CRE@CTIVE, is that from now and until May of the next year, the 16 designers work in textile laboratories of the Mediterranean where it will be able to develop his physical pieces and some can commercialise. The final aim of the project, therefore, it is, that the 16 designers constitute his own start-ups and that generate at least 24 new places of work on a long-term basis.

The 16 projects that have been selected are the following (grouped by L@bs of development):

Design-L@b (Ramallah, Palestinian)

1.- "Modernisation of the Palestinian craftsmanship in RTW fashion" of Sara Jayyusi (Jordan) and Meera Albaba (Palestinian). They propose to create a collection where stand out the local craftsmanship of the embroidery and of the leather using sustainable materials.

2.- "Exchange Knowledge in Marketing leather products" of Saad Ghanem (Palestinian) and Julián Sanudo (Spain). They pose to exchange knowledge, ideas, and technical to develop new creative products and artisanal of leather.

3.- "Nadia" of Sireen Nijeem (Palestinian). Make scarves and handmade scarves of Galilea for women, where mixes the modern era with the tradition.

Net-L@b (Alejandría, Egypt)

4.- "Using Agriculture waste to produces natural fabric alternatives" of Moushira Alamarawy (Egypt). The initiative consists in manufacturing biotopes (textile no fabrics) from pertinent Egyptian fibers of agricultural waste.

5.- "Fashion-ty virtual try on" of Mahmoud Soliman (Egypt). It pretends to develop a platform that allow to the customers test virtually the products, taking only a photography with his mobile telephones.

Echo-L@b (Alicante, Spain)

6.- "From Waste to Colour" of Almudena Cerezo Araujo (Spain) and Sté Mongi (Tunisia). It presents a project that wants to create a creative collection where it will employ vegetal dyes in knitwear done of wool and will create a listing of producers of colorants from vegetal waste.

7.- "And then what?" Of María Llinares Torregrosa (Spain) and Brada Jlassi (Tunisia). Try to create a collection done through fabrics recycled of mixed fibers, collaborating with a group of women that recycle clothes in a creative way.

8.- "Trasmuta": Of Andrea Coderch Value (Spain) and Hernan Gonzalo Villa (Spain). They propose to elaborate a collection of urban pieces done of materials recycled that it allow to travelers carry with them all what need, saving space.

Make-L@b (Sicily, Italy)

9.- "Master Re" of Mattia Piazza (Italy). They promote the creation a collection sustainable capsule and without gender done by Sicilians that love the sea.

10.- "Wind scraps" Of Ilaria Maria Sposito (Italy). They want to contrive a collection capsule of accessories done from wastes of sails manufactured in nylon light, resistant and adaptable, that do not crease when they bend .

Techno-L@b (Monastir, Tunisia)

11.- "Educational clothing and accessories" Of Mhenni Farouk (Tunisia). Have the idea to manufacture NATDYES, a range of colorants pertinent of scraps of vegetables.

12.- "Vest go" Of Oumaima Dhaouadi (Tunisia). They propose to develop a waistcoat connected intelligently, with multiple functions (heated, remote control GPS and portable load).

13.- "TCFL Digitalization and Collaboration Platform" Of Mohamed Kharrat (Tunisia). They propose the development of a scanner 3D automatic and of high quality.

Heri-L@b (Prato, Italy)

14.- "LOTTOZERO: Heritage design studio" Of Tessa Moroder (Italy). It pretends to create an innovative service of design patrimonial with digital archives and physicists.

15.- "To sustainable history repeating, the nou Prato Carded Fabric" of Francesca Nardi (Italy). It proposes to employ textile heritage resources updating them and renewing them in new products with patterns of high quality.

16.- "Waste to Wear-Hacking Traditiuon" Of Fabio Molinas (Italy). The waste of the production of cork and the textile fibres recycled converge to create a more sustainable fashion thanks to the "know-how" local.
