On January 31 and February 1, 2023, the third edition of the IGUALADAFIL Fashion event will take place in Igualada, which, on this occasion, will present the novelties in spinning for summer 2024 with the aim of facilitating the selection of raw materials that fashion brands will use in their new collections.

IGUALADAFIL was born as a result of the initiative of four spinning distributors: Juanma Muñoz, Albert Sorribes, Evarist García and Jose Luis Villegas, who detected the need to add their spinning offer to facilitate the creative and industrial process of fashion brands. These four distributors represent a total of 20 prestigious international spinning mills such as Di.ve, Olimpias, Linsieme, Emilcotoni, Pool Filati, Giorgini Silvano, Botto Giuseppe, Belda Llorens, Filaturas Du Parc, Cofil Filati, Maisson, Lanera Galicia, Filivivi, Rifil, Bemiva, Filmar, Risatel, Spinaker, Filcompany, Paoleri and E, Miroglio.

From the organization they state that, "The objective of this new edition is to attract 100 of professionals linked to the fashion industry from all over the State and provide them with access to an important catalog of threads that allow them to develop their creativity in the preparation of the 24 summer collection. At the same time, some elements related to fashion trends will be shown that may inspire attendees in their processes of creating new collections".

The event will take place at the Igualada Fashion Lab facilities, located in the former headquarters of the Vives Vidal company, an emblematic textile building in the capital of Anoia. This building, promoted by the Igualada City Council, the FAGEPI Textile Group and the FITEX technology center, has the vocation of being a space for connection between the different agents that make up the sector: manufacturing companies, fashion brands, technology and service providers, innovation hubs and knowledge hubs, investors and start-ups. Currently, the Igualada Fashion Lab space is the permanent headquarters of the FITEX technology center, specialized in textile-knitwear research and innovation, as well as the Clothing School promoted by the BUFF brand, which trains new clothing professionals for the sector and the textile technician course led by the IES Milà i Fontanals in the capital of the Anoia region.

IGUALADAFIL pretends to consolidate itself as a recurring event in the fashion calendar with two annual editions, the first focused on novelties for summer collections and the second focused on winter collections, always more relevant in knitwear collections.
