The sixth edition of Cosmetorium, celebrated the past 28 and 29 September, attained a record of participation after two editions conditioned by the pandemic. It achieved to show like this, that the cosmetic sector picks up in the business and industrial field Spanish thanks to the energy and the creativity that characterise to the sector. As they indicate in the press release, more than 2.700 professionals attended to the appointment the days 28 and 29 September in the Palace of Congresses of Barcelona in a marked year by the turn to the normality and full of innovation, networking and reunions.

The organisation of the event has communicated that this edition has turned into the Cosmetorium of greater size to date: in figures, translates to a growth of 27% with regard to the previous edition, that has given space to the participation of 144 exhibitors companies that looked for to show to the assistants the most innovative solutions in ingredients, services and cosmetic technologies. It follows observing the same pattern that in previous editions and is that the amplitude of the offer continuous centring in the segment of providers of prime matter. Still like this, with the enlargement of exhibitors that announced the SEQC, this year has been able to observe a remarkable increase in the number and the variety of exhibitors of other profiles devoted to the manufacture of third, packaging and software.

José Zaragozano, organiser of Step Exhibitios, has done a small assessment on what has been this sixth edition in the Palau de Congressos of Barcelona: "Cosmetorium grows and begins to attract to profiles more diverse of exhibitors. It is the best shop window for the companies that work for the cosmetic industry and an excellent place of meeting between professionals and friends of the sector, like this transmit it to us the exhibitors and visitors. The positive figures of participation confirm us that it is the appointment that any professional of the sector wants to lose".

"It has been a complete edition and are very happy with the results. We have gone back to live the normality prepandemic and see like the fair grows again and is increasingly participatory. I think that it is an excellent reflection of our sector and of the capacity that have the professionals of the cosmetic industry to develop , innovate and grow" has stood out the president of the Sociedad Española de Químicos Cosméticos (SEQC), Mª Aurora Benaiges.

'Cosmetorium 2022': Diversity and wealth of knowledge

Beside the exhibition area, 'Cosmetorium 2022', explained also with a big scientific program, workshops practical and an exquisite techfocus. With all these activities, carried out a total of 47 technical presentations-commercial, ten workshops practical, a cycle of innovation in Portugal and ten scientific conferences to charge of experts to pose from the experience and the knowledge fear of actuality like the virome human, the foto-protection, the sustainability, the neuro-marketing and the legislative actuality. Margarita of the Val virologist and immunologist and Pere Estupinyà, scientific populariser and presenter of the program "The hunter of brains" of RTVE, went some of the characters stood out of this sixth edition.

Awards to the sustainable and natural formulation

The bio-technology company Spanish Vytrus Biotech has been the winner of the prize with the formula Purple Rain, a mask peel-off purple based in an active of cells able vegetable mother to rejuvenate the microbiota and with this rejuvenate the skin. Also it awarded an accesit to the company Innospec by Pocket Paper Cleanser, a formula of ingredients minimal for a facial cleaner and of hands with the format of small disks of paper.

In the delivery of the Prizes Cosmetorium, in his fifth edition, have rewarded to the "Sustainability and the Naturalness" in the cosmetic formulation. The ten formulas finalists were been exposed and the visitors could experience with them, at the same time that they tested them.

Innovatorium: The space devoted to the innovation and inspiration

The visitors could discover nineteen proposals of active ingredients that reflect some of the most current tendencies of the cosmetic. Solutions that put in the centre the sustainability and the natural origin of the ingredients, concepts like the Blue Beauty, the Skinification in hair or the Upcycling, that inspire to the formulators in the design of innovative products.
