BASF, the chemical company created in 1865 in the German city of Ludwigshafen, has celebrated during this month of December of 2022 his tenth edition of Dual Job Training. The aim that pursue with this program is to invest in the future of the chemical technicians in the centre of German production.
From BASF bet by the dual training, that extends from the month of September and finalises in the month of December and has obtained a performance really gratificante: from July of 2013, BASF has given employment to a total of 168 Spanish students that exert his work in Ludwigshafen.
Makus Hermann, Responsible of Professional Training and Development of BASF has valued the 10 years from the implementation of the program of the following way: "During more than 100 years, our own program of dual training has been the central factor and of success to ensure the demand on a long-term basis of qualified workers in Ludwigshafen. Especially in the field of the production and the technology, have a big need of qualified workers. The demographic change has changed the conditions mark for the contracting of qualified workers. For this reason, we have paying attention us in other objective groups, in addition to our own professional training traditional. The transnational cooperation in matter of training is a central component of this. We put in value that with this initiative also can offer to the Spanish youngsters the opportunity of a solid professional training with good labour perspectives", has exposed Hermann in the press release issued by the German company.
When treating of a dual training, the students that access to the program of BASF combine theory with practice, in addition to learning the German language daily in the institute and receive an intensive course of the language deustchland. The second year of training distributes the times equally between the theoretical lessons in the school and the practices the centres of Tarragona and Ludwigshafen.
By its great work, BASF has received numerous prizes in the last years by its program of transnational job training dual. In the year 2017, collected the award issued by part of the Federal Ministry of Investigaction and Education of Germany. In the year 2019, delivered them one of the Prizes to the Excellence in Education and Professional Training of the European Union, and in the year 2020, the Spanish foundation YIELDS recognised also his big work with another prize.
