Sigillum continues to grow internationally based on its internationalisation strategy framed in its 2023-2025 roadmap. The specialised consultancy firm is opening its second subsidiary this year, this time in the United States.

This move by Sigillum responds to the significance and importance of the entry into force of the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022. Also known as MoCRA, this is one of the biggest changes in the regulatory system for cosmetic products in the United States since 1938. The main objective of this law is to improve consumer safety through greater control of the supply chain and affects manufacturers, importers, packagers and distributors of cosmetic products, obliging, among other things, the registration of facilities and the mandatory declaration of cosmetic products introduced into the US market.

With the opening of its subsidiary, SigillumKS completes the regulatory services it currently offers, as it can now operate as a Legal Agent in the United States, a figure that under the new MoCRA law must be designated for non-US manufacturing facilities.

According to its director, Sebastián Cabo, "the opening of the subsidiary in the United States allows us to improve our capabilities and provide a service to those companies that require a complete representation service before the Authorities from a single supplier, in Europe and the United Kingdom as a Responsible Person and in the United States as a Legal Agent".

Sigillum Knowledge has managed to consolidate itself as a reference consultancy in the cosmetics sector due to its wide range of knowledge in terms of international regulation.
