Firmenich has announced the opening of Villa Harmony in China, adding to its global repertoire of exclusive spaces for co-creation and inspiration. The new experience centre is a joint project between Firmenich and Xun Laboratory, a perfumery studio rooted in China's rich history and culture, which aims to bring to life the unique history of ancient Chinese perfumery. The partnership offers the opportunity to connect tradition with modernity and creates an avenue for customers to embrace ancient Chinese culture and techniques.

"The opening of Villa Harmony marks a momentous integration of Art, Technique, Ingredients and Perfumery," said Ilaria Resta, Firmenich's Global President of Perfumery and Ingredients. "We are proud to combine our legacies in this centre of perfumery culture to support the preservation and revitalisation of the ancestry of Chinese perfumery. Customers in China will benefit from an unparalleled holistic experience where they can rediscover and reproduce ancient Chinese fragrance ingredients for use in today's creations."

Villa Harmony is located in the Jin Ze Art Centre, and aims to provide a unifying platform that promotes research and technical exchanges for those who appreciate traditional crafts and culture. The centre offers proximity to other Chinese ancestral arts, while the Xun Laboratory's research provides clients with privileged access to the 5,000-year heritage and unique knowledge of Chinese perfumery, literature and art. Complete with a botanical garden, the serene setting of the Jin Ze Art Centre offers an inspiring place for the holistic cultivation of body, mind and spirit, allowing creators, researchers and visitors to fully immerse themselves in the rich heritage of Chinese perfumery.
