The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has launched a new interactive tool that offers the public immediate access to reports of adverse reactions related to cosmetic products. It's called the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) Public Dashboard for Cosmetic Products.

What does this tool allow you to do?
  • Search, filter, and download data on incidents or health concerns linked to cosmetics.

  • See the most recent reactions, although the reports are updated daily.

  • Consult incidents related to products such as moisturizers, shampoos, dyes, tattoos... all products contemplated by the regulations.

Who provides the reports?

The data comes from:

  • Persons responsible for cosmetic products, under the regulations of the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 (MoCRA).

  • Voluntary reports submitted by healthcare professionals, consumers, beauty salons, cosmetologists...

How it works

  • You can perform searches using different criteria: product name, type of adverse reaction, severity, date of report, type of report.

  • It also allows you to export the full results or only the desired portions for specific analysis.
