Provital participates in the 33rd IFSCC Congress held in Barcelona, which ends today after four days full of innovation, science and dissemination under the theme 'Rethinking Beauty Science'.

Provital, as a regular contributor to IFSCC congresses and conferences since 1992, has participated as a Bronze sponsor in the 2023 congress, thus reinforcing its commitment to science in the field of cosmetics.  "Collaboration is key to scientific advancement, and building bridges between peers ensures a strong path forward. As science and innovation are at the core of our business practices, Provital's participation in the IFSCC is crucial for our R&D&I departments and allows us to stay at the forefront of cutting-edge research initiatives," says Ricard Armengol, CEO of Provital.

At the Congress, Provital exhibited 5 scientific posters to showcase a range of innovative research techniques, results and supply technologies focusing on various aspects of cosmetic science:

  1. Altheostem™ - the Artificial Intelligence estimate for skin rejuvenation novel test:
Provital's latest stem cell-based active, Altheostem™, addresses cellular senescence, a key aspect of skin ageing. Its in vitro studies were presented in the poster on Senescence, which was awarded TOP10 at Yokohama (31st IFSCC Congress). In this new chapter, its anti-ageing efficacy is investigated in an in vivo study assessing the effect of this new active by instrumental analysis and estimation of apparent visual age using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools.
  2. Circanblue™ - Restoring circadian rhythms for skin health:
With recent research highlighting the impact of blue light exposure on circadian rhythms and skin function, Provital launched Circanblue™ this June. This active is a post-biotic ingredient that restores the circadian gene expression rhythm in primary human keratinocytes exposed to blue light. By addressing circadian desynchronisation in a novel way, Circanblue™ offers a unique solution to the signs of facial fatigue and ageing caused by digital overexposure.
  3. Next science for hair care: Provital's next innovation in hair care focuses on protecting hair from environmental factors such as UV rays, blue light irradiation, atmospheric pollutants and harmful hair products or treatments. In addition, Provital's research on hair fibre damage led to the discovery of an innovative fruit extract that protects the lipid surface of the hair, nourishing it and improving its appearance.
  4. Plant endophytes - The future of biotechnology for the sustainable supply of high-value active ingredients:
Provital's exploration of plant endophytes (symbiotic microorganisms residing inside plants) opens up new possibilities for the production of bioactive phytochemicals. By using plant endophytes, Provital ensures a sustainable and traceable source of high-value natural compounds, contributing to the preservation of biodiversity and environmental well-being.

Todas estas innovaciones responden al compromiso de la empresa de ampliar los límites de la ciencia cosmética minimizando al mismo tiempo el impacto medioambiental.
