The winter edition of Rec.0 is back. From 8 to 11 November, the old industrial neighbourhood of Rec in Igualada (Barcelona) will once again become the epicentre of fashion and design. The best brands and designers, both international, national and local, come together in this charismatic neighbourhood near Barcelona, where they hold special stock sales in pop-up stores inside old tanneries.
Rec.0 has more than a hundred brands that make their special sales, where you can find Sita Murt, Babaà, Beatriz Furest, Yerse, Commelle by Toton, Samsoe Samsoe, Humanoid, Thinking Mu, Miss Me, Simorra, Skunkfunk, Designers Society, Pretty Ballerinas and Aldo Martins. Also designers such as Miriam Ponsa, Txell Miras, Who, Amt, Josep Abril, Ika and Poems. These are some of the brands and designers that coexist with international brands such as Levi's, Adidas, Volcom, Pepe Jeans, New Balance, Nike and Munich. There are 58 pop-up stores, where the best brands and fashion designers of the national panorama are mixed. International brands, national brands, consolidated and emerging designers coexist in the urban circuit with its narrow streets and industrial buildings of great architectural and picturesque value, which during these four days house the most unique shops, children's fashion, urban fashion, fashion and sustainable brands, designers' space, fashion for all audiences and ages, and even an exchange market on Friday and Saturday of Rec.
This industrial neighbourhood brings together tanneries where the best leather in the world is made, and this edition of Rec.0, one of the festival's pop-up stores will be dedicated to leather artisans and designers. It will be located in the Adoberia Bella building (1913), which was formerly a tannery and is now restored and houses the headquarters of the Leather Cluster Barcelona. Guided tours of former tanneries and a fully operational leather factory are also available.
An unmissable event that will celebrate its 25th edition. Rec.0 is a fashion show that, together with the unique industrial heritage of the Rec neighbourhood, also offers a wide range of free leisure activities with concerts, DJs, workshops, talks, guided tours, recitals and urban dance. In addition, the festival has a selected gastronomic offer with more than forty restaurants for all tastes, with the most exquisite proposals of signature cuisine and slow food.
Rec.0 was born in 2009 in Igualada to raise awareness of the Rec neighbourhood, a huge urban space with a unique industrial architectural heritage that was threatened by the urban development plans of the time. After 14 years, Rec.0 has established itself as a benchmark fashion festival with around a hundred fashion brands of all kinds setting up for four days in the unique setting of the former leather factories in a neighbourhood that has been declared an industrial heritage site of Catalonia.
