This Saturday afternoon saw the closing of a new edition of the Rec.0 festival, which from November 5th to 8th once again filled the Rec neighborhood of Igualada with thousands of visitors and over a hundred fashion brands. The festival marked the end of an edition characterized by resilience and the loyalty of the public who, despite the rain, responded with enthusiasm once again to the proposal, whose theme this year was "A day is a day".

Despite adverse weather forecasts on some days, the overall balance is very positive: attendance dropped during rainy periods, but the public concentrated on the other days, which increased the number of visitors on Wednesday and Friday. On average, it is expected that the edition will have fallen only slightly below the 100,000 visitors of recent years, confirming Rec.0's power of attraction as a major showcase for Catalan fashion and as a meeting place for brands, culture, and gastronomy.

The arrival of cold weather boosts sales

Pending the final figures, the organization anticipates that sales for this 29th edition will have remained stable or even increased, as the recent drop in temperatures has boosted sales of warm clothing, a factor reflected in the turnover volume.

According to sales figures provided by the brands, Wednesday the 5th, the first day of the festival, and Friday the 7th have been some of the best days recorded in the festival's sixteen years, pending the final data for Saturday, which also saw a very good attendance from the outset.

The Rec.0 thus confirms its position as the country's premier fashion stock festival, consolidating itself as a major showcase for the best selection of brands, both Catalan fashion – which represented 80% of those present at Rec – and selected major international brands. In total, more than 100 brands sold their stock along a kilometer and a half circuit of old tanneries converted into pop-up stores for four days.

Exchange Market Consolidates, with Over 10,000 Garments Exchanged

Among the most successful initiatives is the Rec.0 Reciprocal Exchange Market, organized with the support of the Catalan Waste Agency and Moda re-, which has grown in both attendance and garments exchanged (more than 10,000 in just two days). This initiative has established itself as one of the central activities of Rec Imperdible, reaffirming the festival's commitment to circularity and new models of responsible consumption.

In addition to shopping, visitors have been able to enjoy a wide gastronomic offering with more than 40 food stalls, concerts, and cultural activities for all audiences, demonstrating the festival's open and experiential nature

In this edition, Rec.0 has continued to advocate for the urban transformation of the neighborhood and its conversion into a vibrant space. The symbolic occupation of an industrial building as temporary housing has served to visualize Rec's potential as a livable neighborhood, a demand that is gaining increasing support among the public and participating brands, and which the organization hopes will translate into a modification of the urban planning of the capital of Anoia.
