As reported by 'Global Cosmetics News', Paco Rabanne is about to launch a make-up line, according to fashion and beauty news portal WWD. The move from the Puig-owned fashion house into cosmetics is part of a rebranding, with a new shortened name and a new visual identity.

Rabanne, as the brand will now be called, will debut its new look with a new flagship shop in New York. The new logo will also feature prominently in the flagship on Avenue Montaigne in Paris to coincide with the launch of the spring 2024 collection at Paris Fashion Week.

The make-up line will be launched in Europe in September, with 90 gender-neutral references, reflecting an image of inclusivity with products such as lipsticks, foundation and eye colour. It will not reach US consumers until October.

According to WWD, the rebranding aims to "feminise" the brand wholesale, opening the door to give greater weight to women's fragrances and make-up. José Albesa, president of fashion and beauty at Puig, told WWD: "Make-up is another way of injecting this feminisation of the brand that is more coherent with fashion.... A way of showing fashion and beauty together".
