Inditex achieves record in sales in United Kingdom: 1.200 millions after merging the subsidiaries

As it advances the portal of economic news 'Cinco Días', the last data entered by ITX UK, the subsidiary of Inditex in United Kingdom, aimed in the mercantile register British a turnover that arrived to the 1.093 million pounds, translated in euros, 1.200 millions in 2021. This means, that in the past year, Inditex surpassed in 11% the levels prepandemic.

On 1th October of the past year, the group devoted to the fashion and accessories, decided to rename his main subsidiary Zara UK, to ITX UK and like this, absorbed to all his main active: Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Pull and Bear, Stradivarius and Zara Home, with the aim to simplify the corporate structure. Thus, these last available data answer to the operations of the previous brands, and also to Zara.

With more than 1.200 million euros of sales, the profit that attained ITX UK in 2021 reached the 55,9 million euros, and with these numbers, the company pursues the intention to "open new shops so prompt as they arise the opportunities". To finals of 2021, ITX UK accumulated in the British country a total of 102 shops. In the first semester of 2022 (of 1 February to 31 July), Inditex registered a net profit of 1.794 million euros, what supposes an increase of 41% in the same period of the past year.

The new 'megatienda' of Zara in London

The Friday 14 October, Zara opened his new 'megastore' in Zara in Battersea, in London, that shares similarity with the shop that situates in Madrid, in square Spain.

The new establishment of Zara, that is near of the river Thame, is inspired by the biggest point of sale of the chain in the world and that finds in the Spanish capital and opened in April. The shop of Battersea incorporates the last novelties of the model of shop of Square Spain and the sections of lingerie, shoes and accessories, 'Zara Home' and an exclusive area devoted to the on-line requests, way Tend and a complete digital experience.

Óscar Garcia Maceiras, adviser delegated of Inditex, has done balance on what supposes this new opening in London: "it Is one of the most ambitious developments in Europe of the last years. The group follows betting for offering the last technology and the best experience of purchase in his shops."

Regarding the improvement of experience of the consumer in the points of sale, Oscar Garcia Maceiras stands out that the new openings already take into account to offer a differential experience to his customers in the shops: "we will follow developing projects that allow an improvement continued of the processes of research and the processes of purchase." García Maceiras insisted in three concepts and requirements for the next openings: "experience of the customer", "high quality" and "integrated, digital and sustainable".
