Ecoalf resumes its annual campaign against Black Friday. And this time it does it again by providing data. The fashion company hopes to curb the consumerism of the season by throwing some data such as that on average, a person usually consumes about 15 kilos of clothes a year which ends up becoming a ton of clothes throughout his life.

In the same document, Ecoalf, points to the fast-fashion giants and their garments which, as the study itself indicates, are usually worn less than 5 times and are only kept in the wardrobe for 35 days before being discarded.

Ecoalf criticises the reduction of prices by brands as leading to a 305% increase over the next ten years in global sales during the Black Friday period. This increase is on purchases that most people do not need.

The clothing brand seeks to raise consumer awareness by explaining what happens after wearing clothes and what is behind producing an item of clothing and calls for responsible, timeless, high quality, recycled, eco-designed, mono-material and recyclable garments.
