Spaniards continued to spend on cosmetics and perfumery in January. However, this increase is due to the fact that Spanish consumers have to make an additional outlay, as it increased by 3.2%, as did the food category. 

Demand, fortunately, has remained practically constant over the months, with only a slight decrease of less than one percentage point. The parapharmacy products and fragrances sectors recorded price increases which, in the first case, exceeded 11.5% and in the case of fragrances, also exceeded 12%.

Facial treatments have registered a rise in demand in January by almost 15%, as well as diet products. The general manager of NIQ IBeria reports that price increases slowed down in January, in line with the CPI figures.
