Barcelona Perfumery Congress finalises preparations for its fifth edition

The most important perfumery congress in Spain, organised by Beauty Cluster, will be held on 22 and 23 November in Barcelona

The countdown to the Barcelona Perfumery Congress (BPC) has begun. In just over a week, on 22 November, the fifth edition of the Perfumery Congress organised by Beauty Cluster will begin. The BPC is a global forum that brings together the fragrance industry and is expected to be attended by more than a thousand fragrance industry professionals from all areas: from marketing to perfumers to learn about the latest trends in olfactory research, packaging, raw materials and ingredients, marketing and new technologies.

The Congress will start on the 22nd at 9:30 am with the Institutional Welcome by Marc Crous, Corporate Commercial Director of RNB Cosmeticos and President of the Beauty Beauty Cluster. During the 22nd, attendees will be able to attend conferences by experts from the Spanish fragrance and perfumery industry as well as international industry benchmarks. In addition, attendees will be able to connect through a virtual platform in the networking area with companies and professionals from the sector or meet with exhibitors directly at their stands.

Nearly fifty presentations will be given almost continuously, complemented by round tables and two workshops by Mane and Scentmate by dsm-firmenich, which will accompany the attendees on both days respectively.

On 23 November, the Fragrance Regulatory Summit will take place, a space that will highlight the importance of regulation in the process of creating a perfume. It will count on the collaboration of such outstanding partners as IFRA (The International Fragrance Association), Stanpa (National Association of Perfumery and Cosmetics), AEFAA (Spanish Association of Fragrances and Food Flavourings) and FEIQUE (Spanish Chemical Industry Business Federation).

The day 23 November, will take place the Fragrance Regulatory Summit, a space that will stand out the importance of the regulation in the process of creation of a perfume. The organising committee is also taking advantage of the Barcelona Perfumery Congress to pay tribute to the perfumer Rosendo Mateu and is incorporating an exhibition in memory of his illustrious figure where some of his most emblematic creations will be on display. In the same congress, there will be an area dedicated to the perfumery tradition and culture of India, and a guest ambassador from FAFAI will be present.
