mesoestetic® Pharma Group begins a collaboration with the SJD Pediatric Cancer Center Barcelona, of the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital, an international reference center in pediatric oncology, to support the research project "Epigenetics of pediatric cancer".
This initiative aims to contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge about childhood cancer, focusing on the study of epigenetic mechanisms involved in the development of the disease and opening new avenues for its understanding.
The project is led by Dr. Alexandra Avgustinova and focuses on understanding how epigenetic alterations, which regulate gene activity without modifying the DNA sequence, intervene in the development and progression of pediatric tumors. Delving into these mechanisms is fundamental to identify new vulnerabilities of tumor cells and explore future more specific and effective therapeutic strategies.
