The moment has arrived for Louis Vuitton. About three years ago, the French luxury firm announced that it would make the leap into the world of makeup, but that it would be in a thoughtful and strategic way. Together with Pat McGrath, the creative director in charge of directing the company's entry into the world of makeup, Louis Vuitton has been developing La Beauté during this time.
The firm has presented this week its makeup line with up to 55 different shades of LV Rouge lipstick, 10 LV Baume balms and eight quartets of LV Ombres eye shadows. Within La Beauté is also the Monogram Canvas, which includes some of the iconic products of this new collection.
Louis Vuitton will not begin selling these products until August 29. However, the line can already be discovered through its website.
They don't need much marketing for this launch to have been popular within the industry. Their pricing policy has made this happen on its own. The prices of the lipsticks have impacted the sector in general: each lipstick reaches 140 euros. On the other hand, in terms of eye palettes there are two alternatives that have captivated lovers of the beauty sector: one, inspired more by evening looks, with blues and darker shades, and another, inspired by autumn, with burgundy and browns. What we don't know if it will also captivate is the price: each palette costs 220 euros.
All the products that Louis Vuitton has launched continue with the trend of betting on sustainability: son refillable, which indicates that all are refillable once the product of both the balm, the lipsticks and the shadows runs out.
How will the consumer welcome these new releases and with these prices?
