Iberchem achieves a new milestone in its sustainability programme with the launch of its new in-house biodegradability testing laboratory, IB-BI.
IBerchem's Biodegradability Investigation is Iberchem's new in-house biodegradability laboratory designed to effectively study the biodegradability of fragrances in accordance with OECD test methods.

"At Iberchem we have a team dedicated to developing new methods based on OECD regulations that allow us to conduct testing associated with technology development, including fragrance studies and polymer research for microencapsulation. IB-BI will enable Iberchem to deliver biodegradable fragrance solutions to customers faster than ever before. Customers will be able to enjoy high levels of confidence in our scientifically proven biodegradability tests, to market their final product with full assurance."
IB-BI has been developed through close collaboration with the parent company Croda, and INCOTEC. This cooperation has resulted in the formation of an organic network of biodegradability testing laboratories to ensure the best methodology to accurately assess the biodegradability of fragrances and fragrance technologies. As a result, IB-BI has a solid scientific basis, with validated methodologies on reference ingredients with different compositions, and ultimately aligned with our parent company's commitment to be Land Positive by 2023.

The new IB-BI laboratory will grow the sustainability area to ensure high-performance fragrances that are biodegradable.
