The Barcelona Olfaction Week of the Beauty Cluster is about to start. Iberchem, the fragrance house, is one of the collaborators of this macro-event dedicated to perfumery and fragrances and will offer an "olfactory journey through Spain" in the Poble Espanyol during the Barcelona Olfaction Week (BOW) 2026, from May 17 to 24, with guided tours and interactive workshops.
This experience has been created by the perfumers of Iberchem thanks to the technology of Bearomic, which invites to discover the heritage of Spain through the most primary sense: smell. This is one of the activities aimed at the final public and they can take this olfactory journey that synthesizes the smell of Spain with 8 essences, at their own pace, or enjoy the guided tours and scented ceramic workshops offered within the official program, with the aim of bringing the culture of perfume to everyone.
“This collaboration arises from an unusual event that unites Poble Espanyol and perfumery: the historical value of this space, which was the setting for the filming of the final scene of The Perfume,” comments María Jesús Gálvez, Communications Officer of Iberchem and project coordinator. “This film portrays the origin of the perfumer's craft, which today remains a mystery to many. We couldn't think of a better way to make it known during the BOW than through this coincidence in Barcelona”.
In the year in which Barcelona is World Capital of Architecture, the Poble Espanyol bets on innovation so that the visitor discovers the legacy of the enclosure in a more experiential way. Thanks to this route, heritage ceases to be only visual to become a unique experience: the sense of smell allows the visitor to feel the character and identity of the towns that make up our great architectural synthesis.
