Italian designer Giorgio Armani, founder and creative force of the prestigious group that bears his name, has passed away today, September 4, 2025, at the age of 91, according to an official statement from the fashion house.
In its statement, the Armani group painfully describes him as its "creator, founder, and tireless force," whose vision and leadership profoundly marked the world of fashion. The designer died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.
Armani, recognized for his contributions to fashion with an elegant, sober, and avant-garde style, was forced to miss his shows in June due to an undisclosed illness. Despite his health problems, he continued to work actively and was preparing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of his firm during the upcoming Milan Fashion Week.
His company, which generated approximately 2.3 billion euros in 2024, will continue to be guided by his family and employees, committed to preserving his values of independence, vision, and passion that always characterized his career.
