A fire in the chemical plant of Symrise in Georgia forces to evacuate the zone

The authorities ordered the evacuation of workers and neighbours by possible explosions and the presence of toxic smoke

On Monday, November 7, Glynn County emergency services were alerted at 4:00 a.m., about an explosion at the Symrise chemical plant. The German company’s facilities on the coast of Georgia were burning and emergency personnel had to carry out an evacuation protocol to avoid major risks and damage. Both employees and residents on the outskirts of a locality near the Symrise facility left the area on the orders of the authorities.

As it indicated the manager of firemen, Tim White, apparently, the fire could have produced in some tanks that stored peroxide of hydrogen, a material that is highly flammable. As it informs 'PKB News', the authorities counted a total of 3 explosions: the first happened when the services arrived to the place, and the others two, when they found evicting the chemical plant.

Firemen and other operators were working during two hours until it gave by extinguished the fire of definite way. Luckily, as indicate in diverse portals of information, haven't producedno injuries or collateral damage to facilities near the affected area. Although the quality of the air is something of what the authorities are studying and they have expressed his worry about this, now, has not seen altered.
