Beauty Cluster celebrates its 2023 Ordinary General Assembly

The entity that was founded in 2014 has taken advantage of this act to share the strategic vision of the future together with more than 100 partners who attended the annual event

The Beauty Cluster held its annual members' meeting on Wednesday 19 April at the RCDE Stadium. About to celebrate its first decade, the Beauty Cluster is made up of more than 230 Spanish companies from the entire value chain of the beauty industry. This event brought together more than 100 members who learned first-hand the results of the barometer that the Beauty Cluster carries out every year and the 'Next Steps' of the Beauty Cluster's strategic plan.

Ivan Borrego Valverde, General Director of Beauty Cluster, was in charge of explaining and arguing the next steps to be taken as a cluster, as well as the strategic vision for the future and the path to be followed as an entity together with all the associates. He also took the opportunity to share the agenda of the upcoming events in which the Beauty Cluster will participate and organise in the remainder of 2023 and make a brief review of those that have already been held. The General Director presented the results of the financial year 2022 closed with positive numbers. Melissa Torres, director of the Beauty Business School, gave the Beauty Cluster members a brief review of the aims of the BC training entity and explained the training programme which, in collaboration with IQS, will become the first postgraduate course in perfumery to be taught in Spanish. Afterwards, Helena Rodríguez, director of 'Next in Beauty', did the same for her part and thanked the sector for the reception that this media has received in the sector, which already has more than 1,300 subscribers and thousands of monthly visits three months after its launch.

During the celebration of the General Assembly, those who attended were able to learn first-hand and exclusively about the data and conclusions obtained after the VI Cosmetics and Perfumery Sector Barometer. More than 140 companies from the sector participated in this study, which has provided a complete overview and a detailed x-ray of the current situation of the beauty industry in Spain. Afterwards, the guests at the assembly were able to enjoy a keynote speech given by Antonio Turiel Martínez, scientist, successful writer and well-known speaker on the problems of sustainability, under the title 'Without energy. A small guide for the Great Descent'.

The Assembly also served to make official the end of the mandate as president of the Beauty Cluster of Eva Lluch, owner and director of Lluch Essence S.L, who handed over the presidency to Marc Crous, Commercial Director of RNB, who until then, had served as vice-president. At the same time, the board announced the addition to the board of Ambra Orini, CEO and founder of the communication agency 'The Beauty Makers' and Alonso Álvarez-Prieto, Managing Director and Founder of Scentmate by Firmenich.
