Javier Botín closes one of the operations that had been in the pipeline for months, which is the control of Sesderma. The operation strengthens JB Capital's presence in the health and dermocosmetics sector. After a long period of negotiations, the Valencian firm begins a new stage with the backing of a new shareholder.

Last March, JB Capital's entry into Sesderma was anticipated with a 50% equity stake in the company, and it would assume the ordinary management of the Valencian cosmetic company.

El Confidencial confirms that this coming Thursday, JB Capital will take a majority stake in Sesderma's capital after a difficult period for the company, which had been working on refinancing its debt and seeking an investor capable of providing financial stability and resources to drive its next phase of growth.

The figure for which the agreement was finally reached has not yet been revealed by either party. For Javier Botín, this new step means expanding his business portfolio by entering the dermocosmetics business with a consolidated brand that has great growth potential.

According to company sources, the goal now is to accelerate and project Sesderma's growth without leaving behind the scientific component that has defined its trajectory for three decades.
