RNB closes 2023 on the rise. The cosmetics manufacturer located in Valencia and renowned for being Mercadona's cosmetics supplier increased its sales in 2023 by 22%. According to local media and the newspaper 'Expansión', RNB has exceeded expectations for the 2023 financial year. The cosmetics manufacturer expected sales of 158 million, a figure that has been increased by 22 million more and has obtained eight million in profits, 60% more than last year when it stood at five million euros.

As the newspaper Expansión explains, RNB's increase and growth has been especially high and important in the fragrances category, accentuated by a positive Christmas campaign for products belonging to this range. Part of this above-expectation growth is due to its Mercadona link. Juan Roig's supermarket chain holds 77% of RNB's cosmetics manufacturing. Despite occupying a large part of the cosmetics manufacturing volume, RNB also targets the pharmacy channel, through its own brand Laboratorios Babé. Three percent of the company's turnover also comes from international markets with customers abroad.

In 2023, RNB made an investment of around eight million euros to improve and adapt the innovation and R&D facilities for the implementation and development of new products. This investment, according to Expansión, has also been devoted to the expansion and optimisation of the manufacturing plant, specifically the fragrance packaging lines to meet growing demand.

Other focuses of RNB

As reported in 'Food Retail', environmental care is one of RNB's priorities for 2024. The cosmetics laboratory works on biodegradable, sustainably sourced, naturally sourced ingredients and green chemistry.
