Henkel buys Olaplex for 1.4 billion dollars

Henkel fattens its hair care business. The German company especially dedicated to personal care products and chemical products and specialties has acquired 100% of Olaplex, the premium hair care brand for 1.4 billion euros. 

The acquisition of Olaplex becomes a strategic step for the German giant which has the objective of strengthening its Henkel Consumer Brands portfolio in one of its main categories, where it has brands like Schwarzkopf, Gliss, or Palette. 

Regarding the details of the agreement, Henkle has shared that the deal has closed at a price of 2.06 dollars per share, which implies a total transaction value of 1.4 billion dollars.
