Cosnova acquires the Catalan Niche Beauty Lab. The German cosmetics and makeup group bought the Catalan company before the end of the year. Cosnova, founded by Javier González and his wife Christina Oster-Daum, has decided to acquire this Catalan company, which has its own laboratories and seeks to democratize product prices.

According to elEconomista.es, there is a purchase agreement, but it is awaiting regulatory approval.

Cosnova closed the 2024 fiscal year with sales reaching 954 million euros and, pending current results, expects to exceed 1 billion euros in the 2025 fiscal year. Its flagship brands are Essence and Catrice, which are marketed in 80 countries, and the group is strong in Germany, the United States, and South Africa.

Niche Beauty Lab, as indicated by Alimarket, was founded in 2018 and achieved sales of over 40 million euros in 2024. One of the products that catapulted it to success was 'Acnemy,' although it has also been very popular on social media thanks to 'Theramid' and 'Transparent Lab.' The
