The London investment fund Bridgepoint is to acquire the renowned anti-aging cosmetics brand RoC Skincare, according to reports in the beauty media and the Reuters news agency.

According to Reuters, the deal would be worth 500 million dollars. The US brand RoC Skincare was created in 1957 by a pharmacist and its products are renowned for containing retinol and are distributed especially in the pharmacy channel and on ecommerce platforms.

This would be the sixth acquisition by the Bridgepoint fund and is based on a way to position itself in the ecosystem of dermatological companies as it has already done with Vivacy and HTL.

Fernando Acosta, CEO of RoC Skincare noted that this is a growth opportunity for the brand: "With Bridgepoint's deep dermatology expertise and strong European presence, RoC is poised to take advantage of the promising growth opportunities ahead. I would like to thank the RoC team and Gryphon for their support over the past few years. Thanks to the hard work and innovation of RoC's talented team, we have become one of the largest independent skincare brands globally, maintaining our commitment to delivering the best clinically proven solutions for skin health."
