The German company Beiersdorf, manufacturer of brands such as Nivea and Eucerin, announced an investment of 350 million euros to expand its plant in Silao, Guanajuato, with the aim of strengthening its global supply network and responding to the growth of international demand.

According to the Ministry of Economy, the expansion will allow the incorporation of advanced manufacturing technologies, create new jobs and advance the company's sustainability commitments, which include reaching carbon neutrality in 2045.

Currently, around 70% of Silao's production is destined for export, which makes this facility a strategic axis within Beiersdorf's global operations. With this investment, Mexico is consolidated as a key point for the production and distribution of the multinational.

This expansion reinforces our commitment to Mexico and our consumers around the world. Silao will continue to play an essential role in our sustainable growth strategy”, the company said in a statement.

The decision adds to Beiersdorf's global plans to modernize its production capacity and ensure more resilient supply chains, in line with other recent investments made in different regions.
