BASF has published its third-quarter results and raised its forecast for the remainder of the year after exceeding estimates for this third quarter. The German chemical group has surpassed the expected 1.5 billion euros.
BASF's sales have increased by 14% compared to the third quarter of the previous year. The group explains that this was driven by higher prices and slightly higher volumes. The group has raised its EBITDA forecast for 2026 to a range of between 7.4 billion and 7.8 billion euros, a figure that exceeds the previous forecast which was close to 6.9 billion and 7.7 billion euros.
The Nutrition & Care segment recorded a significant increase in sales, as did the Specialty Chemicals and Industrial Solutions & Materials segments, which managed to offset declines in Agricultural Solutions and other technologies.
