Unilever Introduces its New Chief Financial Officer. Srinivas Phatak has become the new Chief Financial Officer after an internal and external process and is already exercising this role.

In February, Unilever announced that Srinivas, who was then serving as Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Controller at the same time, would assume the role of acting CFO in a search process to fill this position.

However, the full board of Unilever has made the decision that Srinivas is the best candidate to fill this position, as he has demonstrated great experience in the industry and has exercised the role correctly during these months.

Fernando Fernandez, Chief Executive Officer, explained that "Srinivas has been a good partner for the last six months assuming the role of CFO and for many years has been part of the Unilever leadership team. He has brought financial rigor, strategic clarity and a good eye for value creation. His leadership and constructive challenge will be very valuable in driving consistent volume growth, margin expansion and advancing our growth story".
