L'Oréal will become the next vice president of the L'Oréal Group. As Europa Press has reported, the board of directors of the French cosmetic giant has explained that it will meet at the General Shareholders' Meeting on April 24, and that Pablo Isla, current president of Nestlé and former CEO of Inditex between 2005 and 2011, will be appointed vice president of the group.
According to Nestlé's proposal, and also on the recommendation of the appointments and corporate governance committee, the board of directors will submit to the general shareholders' meeting the appointment of Isla and Anna Lenz as directors for a period of four years.
“Subject to his appointment as a director, the board of directors has decided to appoint Pablo Isla as vice-chairman of the board of directors, together with Jean-Victor Meyers, who is also vice-chairman of the board, following the general meeting of April 24, 2026” the group explained in a press release.
L'Oréal has explained that Pablo Isla will bring to the board "his recognized ability to develop and implement a strategic vision that combines transformation and growth internationally"; in addition to his "solid understanding of regulatory and risk management aspects," and his "deep knowledge of corporate governance."
Isla has been chairman of Nestlé since October 1, after the Swiss food group brought forward his appointment, which was scheduled for April 2026, as Paul Buckle had decided to leave the position of chairman earlier than planned. Nestlé owns 20% of the capital of the French company.
