L'Oréal Canada begins a new stage in its leadership with the appointment of Stéphane Bérubé as president and CEO, a position he assumed on June 1. With this designation, the executive becomes the first Canadian to lead the group's subsidiary in his country.
Bérubé takes over from An Verhulst-Santos, who has led the company for the past five years and will move on to serve as non-executive chair of L'Oréal Brazil.
Until now, Stéphane Bérubé held the presidency of L'Oréal Canada's Consumer Products Division, a responsibility he assumed in 2019. During this period, he drove business growth of nearly 50%, in addition to accelerating the e-commerce strategy and the data-driven transformation of the Canadian subsidiary.
His career within the group spans more than two decades and includes positions such as Marketing Director for Western Europe and Canada, General Manager of L'Oréal Paris Canada, and Brand Director of Maybelline New York Canada.
With this change, L'Oréal also reorganizes the management of its consumer products division in the country, which will now be headed by Stéphanie Binette.
