L'Occitane shakes up its top management at the start of the year. The French cosmetics group has started the year by announcing a major change in its management. Laurent Marteau will replace the former acting CEO André J. Hoffmann.

Despite stepping down as CEO, Hoffmann will remain a member of L'Occitane's board of directors and will continue to be involved in strategic and political decisions on the group's development and trajectory.

The new CEO, Laurent Marteu, who will take office on 1 April, has more than 20 years of experience in the global beauty industry and has worked for industry giants such as LVMH in senior management positions. He has been with L'Occitane Groupe since 2022, when he joined as CEO.

Reinold Greiger, Chairman of the company, said in the press release that this change of leadership responds to the company's need to evolve: "Laurent embodies the entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to L'Occitane". Greiger emphasised his in-depth global knowledge of the beauty market in order to move forward with the group's strategic plan.
