dsm-firmenich appoints Katharina Stenholm as Sustainability Director

dsm-firmenich has appointed Dr Katharina Stenholm as Chief Sustainability Officer. She will take up the position as of 1 July 2023. Her objective is to consolidate the environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) strategy for the company, which will build on the key strengths of previous plans and actions undertaken by both DSM and Firmenich.

Geraldine Matchett and Dimitri of Vreeze, codirectores general of dsm-firmenich, explained in a press release: "we Are loved to welcome Katharina like our new Director of Sustainability. It is widely recognised like an exceptional and innovative leader in the field of ESG and his wide experience and knowledges will be of big value to help us to attain our purpose. With his orientation and leadership, are safe that we will create a positive impact for the people and the planet, to the time that build a sustainable business growth."

Under the direction of Stenholm, his first steps will be to review ambitious and quantifiable aims and plans to reach them of the fastest way possible to give life to his purpose. Basing in the approach of sustainability of the company, Stenholm pretends to take advantage of his knowledges and experience to head the development of a solid strategy ESG for dsm-firmenich.

Stenholm Incorporates pertinent of PepsiCo, where directed the function of Sustainability in Europe. Also it occupied several charges in SABMiller, culminating with the one of CPO global, and was CEO of a company of alimentary ingredients in the Nordic countries with global sales. The Director of Sustainability is doctor in Biotechnology by the Technological University of Helsinki (Finland).
