Personal care ingredients distributor Barentz International has issued a press release announcing a change of management. As of 1 October, Peter Boone will become CEO of the company.
Boone will succeed Hiddle van der Wal, who is retiring after more than two decades as CEO of the Dutch company. Boone has industry experience, having worked in senior positions at Unilever, where he has led marketing, sales and brand development.
Boone is looking forward to the new role and is excited about the opportunity and has praised the man at the helm until October: "I am delighted to be joining Barentz. Hidde has been a fantastic leader of the company and I will do my best to build on his work and establish Barentz as a world leader in the ingredients industry."
With Hiddle van der Wal at the helm, Barentz grew and consolidated in Europe and initiated and led the company's expansion into the Americas and Asia.
