Mamita Botanical Skincare launches a new product based on reuse, circularity, and sustainability. The Barcelona-based firm specializing in sensitive skin presents, together with Nomad Coffee, a body scrub that transforms an everyday waste product into a cosmetic active ingredient thanks to more than two years of research and development.
Nomad Coffee generates approximately 290 kilos of coffee grounds in its cafes, and what until then was simply waste, becomes the main ingredient of Mamita Botanical Skincare's latest launch.
Mamita Botanical Skincare provides the innovation and Nomad Coffee the raw material to jointly create a collaboration that has extended for two years and has resulted in the new Nomad Coffee Body Scrub: a formula that has transformed coffee grounds into a high-quality cosmetic ingredient thanks to its own research and development process.
How was the product developed?
The coffee grounds collected in Nomad's cafes undergo their own sterilization and transformation process developed together with Mamita Botanical Skincare until they become a safe active ingredient suitable for cosmetic formulation.
Behind this project is a question that has guided the entire collaboration: to give a second life to what is normally discarded and transform it into a resource with real value within cosmetics.

With the arrival of summer, when the skin needs to renew itself, regain luminosity, and prepare for months of sun exposure, exfoliation becomes one of the essential steps to promote more even, soft, and luminous skin. In this context, the brand proposes a new body ritual that combines efficacy, innovation, and sensoriality.
Recycled coffee grounds provide natural exfoliation that removes dead cells and promotes skin renewal, while green coffee oil provides intense antioxidant action and helps improve skin firmness and elasticity.
The formula is completed with shea butter and rosehip, which deeply nourish and help maintain the skin barrier, leaving the skin comfortable after exfoliation. Added to these are essential oils of bergamot and lemon, which transform the application into a fresh and revitalizing experience capable of awakening the senses.
