cosnova group expects increase profits on 2026

The German cosmetic firm cosnova expects to reach sales of 1,000 million euros this year. The German-origin group has stated that it is strengthening its commitment to Spain and its strategy involves democratizing beauty, and again, it points out that Spain is one of its strategic markets.

cosnova is present in 90 markets worldwide with its most recognized color cosmetic brands essence and Catrice and closed 2025 with net revenues of more than 990 million euros, so it expects to exceed 1,000 million euros in 2026, in what will be a "very special" year for the firm as it celebrates 25 years, as highlighted by the president and co-founding partner of cosnova, Christina Oster-Daum.

Oster-Daum explained that cosnova's main objective has always been to facilitate access to beauty "our goal 25 years ago was to democratize beauty. The idea was to create brands and products with very high quality and also with the latest trends but at accessible prices for everyone."

Javier González, president and co-founder of cosnova, reiterated that Spain is one of the firm's five largest markets: "the development of the Spanish market has been spectacular in recent years and that is why we have created a subsidiary in Spain, cosnova España, because we have been here for 20 years and the size of the company was so large that it was time to take over the business," he explained.

The German firm is committed to diversifying to continue growing globally and has just entered the skincare category after recently acquiring the Spanish Niche Beauty Lab, which has a "similar philosophy" to that of the multinational. "We are a company with a lot of ambition and we want to achieve the same success in the skincare market that we have achieved in makeup."

Javier González also stated in declarations to Europa Press that his intention is to continue expanding his brands in many countries and achieve international success, but this time, through his skincare brands. Furthermore, he showed great ambition, adding that one of the company's goals is to become number one, leaving L'Oréal behind: "we are globally the second company in terms of volume, the fifth in value, and obviously the goal in five years is to become number one, and that would mean overtaking L'Oréal."
