Lubrizol Life Science Beauty (LLS Beauty) reveals new results on Stevisse™. New evidence supports its ability to enhance antioxidant response. This ingredient also helps to even skin tone and minimise inflammation, as does bakuchiol but in a milder form comparable to retinoids.
Recent in vitro tests conducted by the company have demonstrated superior antioxidant efficacy to stevia extracts obtained by traditional extraction technologies through the use of the environmentally friendly Phenobio™ subcritical water technology.
The same studies also show that this active ingredient minimises skin inflammation by 57.8% compared to retinoic acid in a similar way to bakuchiol.

In in vivo tests, Stevisse™ has been shown to improve skin tone homogeneity and minimise dark spots after 28 days of treatment, complementing the anti-wrinkle wrinkle results for a more even skin tone and a more youthful appearance.

Stevisse™ organic stevia leaf extract is obtained using Phenobio™ subcritical water technology, a botanical biomass extraction process with a much lower environmental impact than conventional methods.

In addition, the company would like to highlight that, for the first time, Lubrizol is using blockchain technology to track the journey of the ingredient from the cultivation of the raw material (stevia leaves) to the final product delivered to the customer (Stevisse™). This avoids modifications and ensures a fully transparent traceability process from field to bottle.
