The Víctor Martínez Vicario Foundation, in collaboration with Beauty Studio Center, held the informative conference “Knowledge that Transforms. Research, Beauty, and the Future in the Fight Against Cancer” yesterday, Tuesday, December 16th, in Barcelona. This event highlighted the importance of scientific research, support, and dissemination in the field of oncology.
The event, held at the facilities of Beauty Studio Center, was a resounding success in terms of attendance, filling the room with patients, collaborators, healthcare professionals, and representatives of institutions involved in the fight against cancer, in a friendly, educational, and profoundly human atmosphere.

The day began with welcoming remarks from Sara Pau, head of communications at the Víctor Martínez Vicario Foundation, and Isa Ruiz, director of Beauty Studio Center, who highlighted the need to create accessible knowledge spaces that connect science, care, and support.
The first session was dedicated to scientific research in breast cancer, led by the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, featuring Dr. Maria Vidal, Head of the Breast Cancer Unit, ICAMS, Hospital Clínic and R3A Researcher, Translational Genomics and Targeted Therapies in Solid Tumors (IDIBAPS), as well as an associate professor at the University of Barcelona (UB).
During her presentation, Dr. Vidal clearly and accessibly explained the role of **immunotherapy** and how it is transforming the prognosis and quality of life for many patients. During this session, the importance of support from private foundations was highlighted so that research can continue to advance and generate a real impact on people's lives. **Without research, there is no present or future.**

The second block of the day focused on support during and after oncological treatment, with the workshop “Recovering Your Hair”, led by Núria Ayuso, a specialist in oncological beauty at Beauty Studio Center and trainer for VMV Cosmetic Group.
