Change in the board of directors of L'Oréal. Bettencourt Meyers, 71, told the company L'O'real that, after 28 years on the board of directors, she will not renew her term as director, which expires after the general shareholders' meeting held today.
However, as Europa Press explains, her desire to ensure the continuity of the Bettencourt Meyers family's commitment to L'Oréal by proposing that Téthys, the holding company that manages family interests and the largest shareholder of L'Oréal, join the board of directors, which already includes her two children, Jean-Victor and Nicolas Meyers.
To replace Bettencourt Meyers as vice president of the board of directors, the family has proposed, and the board has unanimously approved, the appointment of Jean-Victor Meyers, the eldest son of the granddaughter of the company's founder, after the general meeting on April 29.
For his part, the president of the company's board, Jean-Paul Agon, wanted to thank the granddaughter of the founder for all these years dedicated to the group.
