The European Union publishes an alert about a new danger from a sunscreen. Last Friday, the sunscreen marketed under the name Innovation Anthelios UVmune 400 Fluide Oil Control, which claimed to protect with an SPF50+ from the sun, was withdrawn by Safety Gate after an analysis of the product's protection revealed that its SPF was actually less than 2.
The country that notified this alert to the European Union was Germany, and the product originated from China and was marketed through Aliexpress. Users who purchased and used this product were never truly protected from solar radiation.
It is a counterfeit product whose image resembles the famous La Roche Possay sunscreen, although the brand has not yet commented on this incident.
