Vectem S.A., manufacturer of Xhekpon cream, has notified the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Medical Devices (AEMPS) that counterfeit units of the product Xhekpon facial, neck, and décolleté care cream are being marketed and sold in the national market.
The commercialization has been detected in an establishment in Zaragoza and on some e-commerce platforms. The manufacturer has already recognized these units as counterfeits and, therefore, cannot guarantee their safety.
Vectem S.A. has confirmed that the counterfeit units belong to lots N017B (expiration date 09-2028) and N018B (expiration date 03-2028), although the existence of other affected lots cannot be ruled out.
The AEMPS has published an image where the main differences between original and counterfeit products can be detected:
- The packaging of counterfeit products has a more reddish tone than that of original products, and some have gray stickers covering mandatory product information.
- On the product tube of counterfeit units, the neck of the tube is soft in color, and in the original, it is silver and has three embossed marks around the closure.
Even so, Vectem S.A. has changed the design of the packaging and labeling of the product, although original units with the previous design may still be found for sale from the stock of some establishments.
